2010 - City of Virginia Beach Stewardship Award

Sajo Farm was honored by the City of Virginia Beach Parks and Rec Department with their inaugural Stewardship Award, presented during their Earth Day ceremony at Mount Trashmore Park in May of 2010. Sajo Farm achieved the highest level of recognition - Significant Achievement - for their commitment to preservation of natural resources during the development process, low impact development and green building practices, to cite just some of the selection criteria. Judges were impressed by the developerís efforts to preserve Virginia's sixth largest black oak tree, which is located on the property near the clubhouse and pool facilities.

2009 - Best in American Living Gold Award - Best Community

Sajo Farm received a Gold Award in the national Best in American Living Award (BALA) competition for Best Community, 151 or more homes. The award recognizes residential developments nationwide that demonstrate both design excellence and sales success in the marketplace.

Sponsored by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders, the national competition draws 700 applicants annually, with winners featured in the magazine.

2008 - City of Virginia Beach Honor Award - Exceptional Residential Design

On December 10, 2009, in a ceremony held in Council chambers, Sajo Farm was awarded an Honor Award for Exceptional Residential Design by the City of Virginia Beach Planning Department. Sajo Farm was one of only two communities recognized for this Award, the other being Ashville Park, site of HOMEARAMA 2008.
